From «Avangard» to «Kyzylzhar» — over 55 years of football history in Northern Kazakhstan
«Kyzylzhar» is a professional football club from Petropavlovsk, the pride of Northern Kazakhstan. The club was founded in 1968 and has come a long way of development throughout its history.
The club was founded under the name «Avangard». This marked the beginning of a great football history for Petropavlovsk and all of Northern Kazakhstan.
Over the years, the club was renamed several times: «Metallist», «Yesil», «Access-Yesil», «Access-GoldenGrain», «Yesil Bogatyr». Each name reflected a new stage in the club's development.
In 1999 and 2000, the club became the vice-champion of the Premier League. These were years of great victories and recognition at the national level.
In 2000, «Kyzylzhar» reached the final of the Kazakhstan Cup, achieving significant success and demonstrating its high level on the national stage.
2001 became another important milestone in the club's history — our team won bronze medals in the championship, cementing its status as one of the strongest clubs in the country.
